Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge

This is probably one of the most overlooked anime this year and the reason is probably due to the more unique character design.Truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and YNSH is a lot better than anyone would think just by looking at the character design and plot summary.

Yamato Nadeshiko

Yamato Nadeshiko (大和撫子) is referred to by Japanese as a woman with attributes that were considered traditionally desirable. The name is believed to originate from the willowy Dianthus superbus or the Japanese Nadeshiko flower.

Also known as an ideal Japanese woman, it revolves around acting for the benefit of the family and following instructions or acting in the best interest of patriarchal authority figures. Virtues include: loyalty, domestic ability, wisdom, and humility.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (ヤマトナデシコ七変化) is also a 1984 single of Kyôko Koizumi The 80’s, Fu** Yeah !

Kyôko Koizumi

Born in 1966, Kyoko Koizumi started her singing career in 1981 when she won the “Star Is Born” TV competition. After several TV dramas, Koizumi appeared in the first movie “Jukkai no Mosquito” in 1983. At the height of “KyonKyon” (her nickname) boom as the top idol, she won the Best Actress Awards at Mainchi Concours with her lead role in “Boku no Onna ni Te wo Dasuna” (literal translation: Don’t mess with my woman).
