Sparkling Takatsu Ambassador General Vamp (キラリたかつ大使 Kirari Takatsu Taishi)
Mayor Hyogo Funahashi appointed General Vamp as the newest “ambassador” for Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City on Jan. 27. It’s okay, the mayor says, because underneath his oligarchic exterior, this guy’s really a sweetheart. “Although he is plotting to take over the world, he is a good citizen because he is enthusiastic about neighborhood activities,” Funahashi said. “And he sorts his garbage (for recycling).” Taking advantage of the series’ popularity, ward officials expect that General Vamp will help get the administrative word out to young residents. Takatsu Ambassador General Vamp will be present at the 2011 Kawasaki Eco-Fair Tech on Feb. 16-17.
