Nine months have passed since U.S. President Barack Obama took office, and I have come to form the following opinion of him: He talks about ideals, but his actions are down-to-earth.

But now the president is not seeking to make any moves on key issues — prompting one to question whether he actually has any intention of doing so. The detention camp at the U.S. Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba, which is used to hold terrorist suspects, is still in operation in spite of Obama’s aim to close it, and Obama has reserved expressing an opinion on boosting U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

With things as they stand, it is unavoidable that Obama will face a decline in his approval rating.
