Human managers may no longer be deemed necessary
Online brokerage Monex Inc. has begun selling investment trusts managed by a robot (“Kabu Robo” = stock robots), providing mechanical investment decisions aimed at eliminating the indecisiveness that can occur in human trading.
The Kabu Robo are programmed with price movement data from the previous 10 years, along with financial information on 500 major Japanese companies, and based on decisions made by four Kabu Robo programs covering the areas of little-by-little trading, chart analysis, positive feedback and resistance trading, a master robot makes purchase and sell orders before the start of morning and afternoon trading.
